Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has named a 25-man squad for Nigeria’s international friendly games against Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia next month.
In the list that was released by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Rohr handed debut call-up to former Golden Eaglets captain, Samson Tijani and CSKA Moscow’s new signing, Chidera Ejuke.
There was a recall for Kelechi Iheanacho, but Apoel Nicosia shot-stopper, Francis Uzoho misses out despite his return from a lengthy layoff.
Other players called up include Cyriel Dessers, who will be hoping to make his debut finally after being denied the opportunity last March.
FC Midtjylland’s midfielder, Frank Onyeka was also handed a first call-up, while SKF Sered’s goalkeeper, Matthew Yakubu will get a chance to earn his first cap.
Regulars such as Alex Iwobi, William Troost Ekong, Ahmed Musa, Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem were all included. Josh Maja, Henry Onyekuru, Shehu Abdullahi, Ramon Azeez and Tyronne Ebuehi have all been placed on stand-by.
