Glasgow Rangers cruised past Motherwell with a 4-0 win at Ibrox on Wednesday evening as the Scottish Premiership season draws closer – with the side’s young Nigerian midfielder stunning fans with another of his incredible goals
Super Eagles’ star Joe Aribo scored an excellent goal in his side’s 4-0 demolition of Motherwell to bring back beautiful memories of his goals against Brazil and Braga.
Ryan Kent and Ianis Hagi handed the Gers a 2-0 lead before Aribo made it three just before half-time, after an excellent passing move.
The goal had quality written all over it as the Nigeria international passed, moved and danced around defenders before smashing the ball home from close range.
It looked quite similar to the fantastic goal he scored for Nigeria against five-time world champion Brazil in Singapore last year.
There are also a few similarities with his Goal of the Season contender, which he netted at the Ibrox earlier in the year in a Europa League tie versus Braga.
Rangers’ fans know quality when they see one, and they have been effusive with their praises on the 23-year-old who as looked every bit like the real deal since football resumed from the coronavirus-enforced hiatus.
Aribo, who helped Rangers to a runners-up spot in the Scottish Premier League after joining from Charlton Athletic last summer on a free transfer, will look to go a step better this coming season.
