The last few months have been a difficult period for many people worldwide, but despite the gloomy situation, some Super Eagles stars have had a reason to celebrate
After Wilfried Ndidi and Moses Simon added new additions to their families, another Nigerian international has joined the fathers club.
Super Eagles star, Chidozie Awaziem became a father for the first time as he welcomed the birth of his first daughter. The 23-year-old took to his Instagram account to announce the news.
Awaziem said; ‘I can’t explain the way I feel right now…thank you God for giving me Christel, Latest dad in town.’
The news comes after a disappointing end to the season for Awaziem. The Nigerian international suffered relegation with his Leganes side in La Liga.
Los Pepineros went into the final game of the season, knowing they need to better Celta Vigo’s result. Celta Vigo failed to win, but Leganes could not capitalise as they played out a 2-2 draw with champions, Real Madrid.
The result confirmed their relegation to the Spanish second division. Awaziem’s spent the season on loan at Leganes from Portuguese side, Porto.
