American Star Offers Premier League Advice To Ebere Eze And Bright Osayi-Samuel

The two forwards of Nigerian descent have been the creative spark for Rangers for much of the campaign, but a veteran Premier League performer has charged them to give more.

United States international Geoff Cameron is confident that both Ebere Eze and Bright Osagi-Samuel can thrive in the top flight should they make the step up in the summer.

The former Stoke City fullback has, however, urged the attackers to add more consistency to their games and to always look to influence matches positively if they are to attract suitors from the top division.

Eze has arguably been the best player in the Championship this season with the QPR number 10 scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists in 37 league games for Mark Warburton’s side.

There have also been marked improvements in Osayi-Samuel’s game in recent months with the Okija-born winger contributing to four goals in his last five games for QPR.

The duo’s excellent forms have drawn the attention of Premier League sides – Crystal Palace have enquired about Eze – but their QPR teammate Cameron has warned that they are not the finished product just yet.

“I did seven years in the Premier League and played against some good players,” the 34-year-old American said in quotes obtained from West London Sport.

“My biggest advice to Ebs and Brighty would be that they have to be consistent – perform in every single game – and their intelligence on the pitch has to continue to grow.

“What I tell them is that they have to be consistent and make an impact even when the games are ugly, and things aren’t going their way. They have to then find a way to be that creative spark.

“With the abilities that Ebs and Bright have, there’s a lot of those kind of players in the Premier League – numbers 10s who can play off the front, or wingers. The competition is steep.

“Being the creative guys at QPR, they need to take on more responsibility and more on their shoulders.

“They’ve stepped up to that and done a fantastic job. I think the future is very bright for them.”
