Super Eagles winger Henry Onyekuru has sent a message of support to his club manager, Fatih Terim after the former Turkey manager tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Galatasaray manager announced he contracted the pandemic, which has killed over 16,000 people worldwide on Monday. He is currently in quarantine with the hope of a quick recovery.
Following the news, Onyekuru took to his Twitter page to offer support for Terim, while he also urged fans to stay safe by staying at home.
Fatih Terim is not the only high profile manager that has contracted the virus. Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, also tested positive to the virus.
Juventus trio of Daniele Rugani, Paulo Dybala and Blaise Matuidi are among several players who have contracted the virus.
The epidemic has put sporting events on hold as health officials try to find a cure. Almost all the leagues in Europe are currently on suspension, while the UEFA Champions League and Europa League finals have been postponed indefinitely.
