Onyekuru Pays Tribute to A Cancer Patient Following Galatasaray’s Win

The Nigeria international has gone through some challenges in his young career, but none compares to the strength of a young boy that has cancer

Super Eagles star, Henry Onyekuru, has paid tribute to the strength of a young Galatasaray fan who is battling cancer.

The Nigeria international who has also gone through some difficult moments in his career, praised the young boy’s strength, saying it is an inspiration.

The young fan was privileged to walk out with Onyekuru before the Lions’ 3-0 win over Genclerbirligi on Sunday evening.

Following the encounter, Onyekuru took to his Twitter page to pay tribute to the boy, while he also expressed his delight at the team’s win.

Ryan Fonk opened the scoring inside the opening three minutes before Radamael Falcao doubled the lead in the 33rd minute.

The Colombian international scored his second and Galatasaray’s third of the game to seal a comprehensive win.

Onyekuru was on from start to finish, but he could not add to his tally of one goal. The Nigerian has featured in seven games for the Lions since he joined on loan from Monaco.

The win lifts Faith Terim’s men to 48 points, which draws them level with table toppers, Trabzonspor.
