Enrique Names Barcelona-Linked Wilfred Ndidi, 7 Liverpool Stars In Team Of The Season

Former Liverpool full-back Jose Enrique has listed the Nigerian international among the best eleven players in the English top flight.

Super Eagles midfield ace Wilfred Ndidi continues to receive recognition for his brilliant displays in the English Premier League.

Barcelona are the latest club to fully appreciate the talents of the 23-year-old, with the La Liga giants reportedly keen on making a move for the Nigerian in the summer.

And just days after getting nominated for the best midfielder gong of the Nigeria Pitch Award, the Leicester City ace has, yet again, been recognized as the best defensive midfielder in the EPL by former Newcastle United defender, Enrique.

Liverpool dominate the Spaniard’s Team of the Season with the Reds the most exceptional team in the country this term by a country mile.

Seven stars of the Anfield giants made the shortlist, including goalkeeper Alisson Becker, the defensive trio of Robertson, Virgil van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold, attackers Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, plus skipper Jordan Henderson.

Jurgen Klopp’s side is just two wins away from claiming their first league title in thirty years, with the team so utterly ruthless this term.

The other players named alongside the Liverpool players are Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Kevin de Bruyne, and Leicester City duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Çağlar Söyüncü.

Here is Enrique posting his Team of the Season on his personal Instagram account:

Ndidi, 23, joined Leicester City from Genk in January 2017 and has developed into one of the best midfielders in Europe.
