Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi scored his third goal of the campaign in West Brom 5-1 win over Swansea City in Sunday’s Championship tie.
The former Rotherham star grabbed the opening goal for the Baggies in the 25th minute as he pounced on a Kyle Bartley’s cross across goal to beat Swansea City goalkeeper, Freddie Woodman.
The goal was Ajayi’s third goal of the ongoing season having scored against Huddersfield Town and Fulham respectively.
West Brom extended their lead in the 34th minute through a brilliant flowing football that was neatly converted by Kieran Gibbs.
Four minutes later, Sam Surridge pulled one back for Swansea with a quality finish that went past West Brom goalkeeper, Sam Johnstone.
However, in the 44th minute, Robinson Kanu restored the Baggies’ two-goal lead as he smashed the ball to the bottom corner of the net.
Matthew Phillips netted in the 70th minute for West Brom to make it 4-1 before Kyle Edwards made it 5-1 in the 74th minute.
West Brom’s next game will be against Wigan on Wednesday at the DW Stadium.
