It is hard to advise any individual promising professional about things very close to the heart such as relationship. After all, you don't own them or their life, and what becomes their lot in life is not one's business.
But it is difficult for an elderly who has been through that path before, to keep quiet and not try to offer a piece or two of advice when a young man like Osimhen is passing through that familiar phase in life, more so if the advisor happens to be a fan of of the younger man.
As a young footballer of African descent playing in Europe, who has a strong desire to excel above his peers, career, not big money, or marriage, should come first. 25 to 26 years, which includes 6 to 7 years of proving one's self week in, week out on the pitch before the world, is just enough for someone in Osimhen's boots and in his image to start thinking of marriage. Like George Weah, Messi and others had proved, marriage takes too much emotional strength off an individual to allow for good career success at a time when the demand for professional excellence is at its highest.
I am sure Osimhen must have a long list of promising footballers in his head, who had succumbed and who had failed to reach their peak in the profession no thanks to choices they made in favour of money or early marriage.
At 20 and in the form in which he operates at the moment, Osimhen only needs to be single minded in his focus, employ the right manager who understands this vision, and make the right professional choices. Thereafter, the sky will be the limit, real money will come "yafu yafu", and his heartthrob, should she remain understanding, prayerful and supportive, would remain grateful to God the rest of her days. Osimhen, himself, would have good success and be better conditioned mentally, physically, and financially for marriage.
It is not going to be easy, but nothing good comes easy. The alternative is to go the way of the crowd.
