Ahead of the international friendly between Nigeria and Ukraine on Septemeber 10th, 2019, the newly invited stars have been discussing what they are bringing into the team.
Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr, included four new faces in the squad that will prosecute the encounter at the Dnipro Arena. The quartet of Maduka Okoye, Josh Maja, Joe Aribo and Emanuel Dennis will all be hoping to make their debut on Tuesday night.
Speaking ahead of the clash, the newly invited players revealed they are excited about the call-up, while also assuring fans they will do the nation proud.
In a video on Super Eagles twitter page, the quartet answered a range of questions including their state of origin and what they hope to achieve with the team.
Okoye who plays for Fortuna Dusseldorf II in Germany said; ” I am delighted and honoured to play for Nigeria, to get invited and to wear these colours.”
His comments were shared by Glasgow Rangers midfielder, Joe Aribo who expressed his joy at earning his first call up and hopes to play for a very long time.
“I am happy to have got this call-up to Nigeria and I just want to make the most of it, and play as long as possible.” Just do what I can for the team and make sure we continue to be the best we can be.
Bordeaux striker, Josh Maja said the call up gives him the chance to show the fans the stuff he’s made of while Emanuel Denis also hopes to do the fans proud.
