Super Eagles forward, Joe Aribo has expressed his delight to have scored on his debut game against Ukraine in an international friendly game at the Dnipro Arena on Tuesday.
The Glasgow Rangers star didn’t waste much time as he scored Nigeria’s first goal in the 4th minute. He could have earned a brace almost immediately but his diving header went straight to the Ukraine goalkeeper.
However, Victor Osimhen netted Nigeria’s second goal via a penalty in the 15th minute only for the team to switch off in a matter of seconds that allowed Ukraine scored two quick goals in the second half.
Dubbed the ‘new Jay-Jay Okocha’ Aribo, on his official twitter handle, thanked God for granting him the grace to score on his debut game.
“Buzzing to make my debut for @NGSuperEagles, unfortunate with the result but happy to score on my debut, a special day for me & my family and one I’ll remember. Thank you God🙏🏾 🇳🇬🦅 #SoarSuperEagles,” Aribo tweeted on Wednesday.
