See what Arsenal’s newest Nigeria prodigy Bukayo Saka said about a dream night in Frankfurt

Bukayo Saka produced two classy assists and scored a well deserved goal to help Arsenal overcome Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany on a night the youngster described as being ‘a dream come true’.

The 18-year-old forward introduced himself to the world in amazing fashion in Thursday’s 3-0 win in Germany, producing a match-winning display on only his fifth appearance for the first team.

England born Saka, who is of Nigerian descent set up Joe Willock and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, before curling home his first goal of the club in Arsenal’s first game of the Europa League.

Speaking to the media after the match as monitored by Soccernet.ng, Saka said,

“It’s a very proud moment and I’m just so happy. It’s a dream come true, since I was a kid I’ve always dreamed of scoring for Arsenal’s first team, so now I’ve done that and I just want to do it more and get that feeling many more times.”

The last time Arsenal took to the pitch before taking off to Germany, the Gunners managed a 2-2 draw against Watford, in what seemed more like a loss after the north Londoners let slip a two-goal lead.

Saka was on the bench throughout in that match and revealed what was discussed in the dressing room afterwards.

“We spoke about it in the changing room after the game as well so it was good to get the win and just get that out of the way and now move on to Sunday.”

Frankfurt had a reputation for creating intimidating atmospheres to scare visiting opponents but Saka explained how the Gunners were still able to pull out a remarkable win.

“We spoke about it before the game. Their fans get behind them a lot and the fans on that end were just making noise the whole way, the whole game long.

“That’s big support for them, but we said that we just have to play with our confidence, play our game, stick to our game plan and everything will be fine. We don’t have to let it affect us.”
