Nigeria’s U-23 team have qualified for the next round of the 2020 Olympic qualifier after trouncing Sudan 5-0 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Tuesday.
Taiwo Awoniyi opened the scoring in the 9th minute before Ndifreke Effiong extended Nigeria’s lead in the 27th minute.
Effiong netted his brace some few minutes before substitute Sunday Faleke took the game beyond the reach of Sudan. Another goal from Ibrahim Sanusi made the scoreline comfortable for the Dream Team as they qualified on 5-1 aggregate.
