There was a special guest in attendance to watch Samuel Chukwueze in Villarreal’s thrilling draw against Granada in a La Liga clash on Saturday night at Estadio de la Cerámica.
The Nigerian international was on target as Villarreal played out a thrilling 4-4 draw against Diego Martínez side. Santi Carzola opened the scoring for the Yellow Submarines from the penalty spot, but Granada drew level minutes before halftime with a spot-kick of their own.
Villarreal restored their lead through Moi Gomez but they were once again pegged back by Granada. Javier Calleja’s side took the lead once again through Moi Gomez before Chukwueze added a fourth. However, they were denied victory as Granada scored two goals in five minutes to earn a point.
Nevertheless, it was still a brilliant start to the season for Chukwueze who was watched by Nigerian music star, Peter Okoye of the defunct Psquare group.
Prior to the match, Chukwueze presented a Villarreal shirt with his name inscribed at the back to Peter, while they were also seen talking together after the match.
The music star shared the moments on his Instagram and Twitter page tagging Chukwueze and Ramon Azeez who featured for Granada in the match.
