Transfers: Blow For Barcelona In Neymar’s Pursuit

Barcelona’s hopes of signing Neymar from Paris Saint Germain suffered a huge setback after the French champions’ manager, Thomas Tuchel confirmed that he still has Neymar in his plans ahead of next season.

Neymar has been linked with a return to former club two years after joining in a world record deal worth 220 million pounds.

The Brazilian international has failed to turn up for preseason training with PSG while the club’s director, Leonardo, confirmed Neymar can leave if they receive a suitable offer.

Tuchel had previously confirmed of Neymar’s intention to leave prior to the Copa America but he is only focused on the players that want to stay.

However, speaking after PSG’s disappointing 1-1 draw against Nurenberg on Saturday, the former Dortmund manager confirmed Neymar is still part of his plans.  “Every coach wants Neymar in the team, and so do I,” he began.”He is our player and I am calm about the situation

.”Our unique plan includes Neymar. In football, you must take things day by day and tomorrow the plan is to coach Neymar,” Tuchel said.

Tuchel’s latest comments is a big blow to Barcelona’s plans of signing the 27-year-old. According to reports, the Blaugrana already made an offer of 90m pounds plus Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele for the Brazilian but was turned down by PSG.
