Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is set to undergo medicals at Lille as he edges closer towards a Charleroi exit.
The former Wolfsburg striker who was part of Nigeria’s squad at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations is expected to sign a five year deal with Les Douges.
Lille who finished in second place in the Ligue 1 last season are looking for reinforcements in their attacking department and have identified Osimhen as the perfect player.
Osimhen spent last season on loan with Belgian side Charleroi who are interested in keeping him for another season.
But with Lille offering 12m Euros plus 2m in add ons for the 20-year-old, the Belgian club knows they won’t be able to keep the highly-rated forward.
Osimhen scored 20 goals for Charleroi last season and will join the growing list of Nigerians who have played for Lille if he completes the move.
The Ligue 1 side have been homes to former Nigerian stars in Vincent Enyeama and Peter Odemwingie. Osimhen is set to join the list of this exclusive club if he passes his medicals.
The Nigerian international will also get the chance to play in the UEFA champions league next season with the move as Lille finished second in the French topflight last season.
