Official: Barcelona sign Malcom from Bordeaux

Barca sign Malcom

Following the acquisition of the services of midfielder Arthur Melo and defender Clement Lenglet from Gremio and Sevilla respectively, Barcelona have added a third new name to their squad as they have secured the signing of 21-year-old winger Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira from French outfit Girondins de Bordeaux.

Malcom looked bound to join Italian side AS Roma with both Bordeaux and the UCL semifinalists taking to social media to announce the agreement between both clubs. But surprisingly, Barca came in the dying stages to hijack the deal and the Brazilian left-footer made a resounding U-turn.

Barca won the transfer duel and will get Malcom to sign for them for the next five seasons until the end of the 2022/2023 campaign. The player will cost a fee of 40 million euros plus a further 1 million in variables. Barcelona took to their official page to announce his arrival and state the player will complete the transfer tomorrow and will join the team in their US Tour during this preseason.

FC Barcelona and Girondins de Bordeaux have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira. The operation will cost 41 million euros and 1 million in variables.
The player will sign with the Club for the next five seasons, until the end of the 2022/23 season.
