Mateo Kovacic set to quit Real Madrid

Real Madrid has set price for Manchester United and Manchester City target Mateo Kovacic, according to the report in the media.

Real Madrid hierarchy has slapped €80million on the Croatian international after he met with new boss Julen Lopetegui expressing his desire to leave the club as reported by MARCA.

The two had a friendly conversation in which Lopetegui attempted to convince 24-year-old Kovacic to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu, but the player’s mind is made up and he wants to leave in search of more regular football.

The European Champions are hoping to receive at least €50million (£44.6million) form the sale of Kovacic.

The likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus and Liverpool are also linked with the Real Madrid midfielder.
