Akpom closes in on PAOK move

Greek Super League side PAOK Thessaloniki have joined and are now ahead of others in the race to sign Nigeria and Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom.

PAOK have been working on a deal to sign the 22-year-old forward for one and a half months now and negotiations were conducted in secrecy according to a report by Goal.

In a report published by Gazzetta.gr, Akpom is expected in Thessaloniki to finalize his transfer from Arsenal in the coming days.

Former Super Eagles defender Ifeanyichukwu Udeze was a former Player and Captain of the Greek side, during and after representing Nigeria at the 2002 Korea/Japan FIFA World Cup.
