100 players have been picked in the draws for the Rexona street to Stamford campaign which was flagged off a couple of months ago.
The draw which was held in Lagos on Tuesday saw over 29,000 entries from all over the country pruned to a hundred participants who are moving to the first phase of the competition which will begin in Lagos in a few days.
Adding colour to the draw was the presence of journalists, sports influencers and staff of regulatory bodies including; the Consumer Protection Council, who observed as the lucky players emerged via an automated draw/selection process.
The 100 lucky players which comprise Attackers, Midfielders, Defenders and Goalkeepers will kick-start the process in a screening exercise to be conducted by well-known coaches in Lagos where 44 players will emerge and distributed into 4 teams of 11 players.
Out of the 4 teams, another 22 will be selected and these players will undergo some training with both local and international coaches from which 3 lucky players will be selected to be part of an Africa XI team to train and play with the Chelsea Football stars at their home in Stamford Bridge, England.
