Super Eagles will be hoping to end their pre-World Cup games on a high as they play Czech Republic at the Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion Stadium in Austria on Wednesday.
Nigeria defeated Argentina 4-2, beat Poland 1-0, lost 2-0 against Serbia, drew 1-1 against DR Congo before losing 2-1 against England at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
The Super Eagles clash against Czech on Wednesday will be the first time both teams will be meeting at the senior level.
The encounter will afford Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr the chance to perfect his tactics with the final 23 players that he has selected for the World Cup.
Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi and Leon Balogun are the two players still doubtful for the Czech game on Wednesday due to slight injuries but there are indications that they could still play a part in the game.
Meanwhile, Rohr will be depending on players such as Mikel Obi, Alex Iwobi, Victor Moses and Odion Ighalo to shoulder the team’s goal-scoring responsibilities against a Czech side that will parade a strong forward such as Antonín Barák, Vladimír Darida, Jakub Jankto, Tomáš Kalas and Patrik Schick.
Czech Republic national team coach, Karel Jarolím, has stated that their next opponents Nigeria are a tougher side than Australia.
”Nigeria is qualitatively stronger than Australia, I saw their match in England, it’s a very good opponent.”
