Former Chelsea playmaker, Gianfranco Zola has condemned the tactical approach of Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr to Nigeria’s 2-0 lose against Croatia in Saturday’s Group D World Cup fixture.
Zola, who was a guest analyst on Supersports Stated that Nigeria failed to fly high because Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses were played out of position.
Speaking as an analyst on SuperSport, Zola said: ”I believe that Croatia hasn’t played a fantastic game, I think they won the game mainly because of the mistakes Nigeria made
”Also because Nigeria wasn’t unable to change the original plan, because when they went 1-0 down they could have done something more to change the dynamics of the team, and something they didn’t do well, that’s why the lost the game.”
