Reports emanating from Super Eagles training camp in Austria revealed that combative midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi could feature against Czech Republic in Wednesday’s international friendly match in preparation for the World Cup.
The Leicester City star missed Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against DR Congo and the 2-1 loss to England on Saturday due to a slight injury he sustained in the Premier League.
However, Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has disclosed that Ndidi would face Czech if all things go well.
“We need him (Ndidi) but we had a protocol from Leicester and my friend Claude Puel, who gave me very good information with the medical team,” said Rohr after the 2-1 loss to England.
“We followed exactly the protocol the medical team by Leicester gave to us.
“We don’t think it was the moment for him to play but he will start the next game but I hope if he plays against Czech Republic, he will be fit and ready on June 16.”
