Croatia, Nigeria game will be tough – Adepoju

Ex-international, Mutiu Adepoju has revealed that the Super Eagles would face a difficult task against Croatia in today’s (Saturday) opening Group D fixture of the FIFA World Cup at the Kaliningrad Stadium.

The ‘headmaster’ as he’s popularly known during his playing days, has featured in three World Cup tournaments where Nigeria crashed out in the round of 16.

However, Adepoju noted via his twitter handle that Nigeria should expect a tight game considering the array of stars such as Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic, Ivan Perisic and Mario Mandzukic in their disposal.

“I’m expecting a very tough match against #Cro. They have a very good team, and #NGA have to play a perfect match without much mistakes to win. I know @NGSuperEagles can do it,” reads a tweet on his Twitter handle.
