President Muhammadu Buhari has applauded the sweet comeback of the Home Based Super Eagles after they defeated Angola 2-1 at the ongoing Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) on Sunday.
Angola who had led the Super Eagles in the first half failed to withstand the firepowers of the team, succumbed at the late minute after Anthony Okpotu scored in the 92nd minutes before Gabriel Okechukwu netted the second goal in the second half of the extra time to help the team qualify to the semi-final.
Immediately after their victory, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, noted in a statement released on Sunday that President Buhari watched the Home Based victory and wishes them the very best against Sudan.

“President Buhari, who watched the match in his hotel room in Addis Ababa after a long day of meetings which started at 8:00am and ended at 5:30 pm, wishes them the very best for the upcoming matches,” the statement read.
