Barcelona get serious about Ozil

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is emerging as a genuine transfer target for Barcelona.

El Mundo Deportivo says Ozil is Barca’s back-up to Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona feel Ozil has the requisite quality to compliment Andres Iniesta in the middle of the park and are attracted believe they could sign him on the cheap.

Ozil’s Arsenal contract expires at the end of the season and the Gunners are understood to be considering his sale in January.

Barcelona will definitely sign one player in January nd could sign two if they manage to offload Arda Turan, Aleix Vidal or Denis Suarez.
