Arsenal to replace Ozil with Barcelona midfielder

Barcelona midfielder Rafinha is on the radar of Arsenal.

El Mundo Deportivo says Arsenal are planning a move for Rafinha – should they fail to hold on to Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

The Gunners could look towards the Catalans’ playmaker next summer. The midfielder is recovering from a troubling knee injury.

Rafinha would be more of a like-for-like replacement for Ozil than Sanchez, but would command a hefty transfer fee.

Ozil and Sanchez are both out of contract at the Emirates next summer and are yet to put pen to paper on fresh terms in north London.
