WAFU Cup: Nigeria In Win-Or-Burst Encounter Against Ghana

Super Eagles will be facing an uphill task as they confront host, Ghana in the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations Group 1 match on today (Monday).

However, Nigeria need to win their perenial rivals, Ghana today in order to have any glimpse of hope as par qualifying for the knockout stages.

Meanwhile, Chief coach of the Super Eagles, Salisu Yusuf has revealed that the team must overcome their Ghanaian counterpart today.

“It is a must-win game; we are certainly aware of that,” Yusuf said.

“Definitely, we will look at making a few changes because this is one match we must show character and efficiency at the rear, and middle and the fore.

“Not only must we avoid defeat; we must win to make progress in the championship,” the tactician continued.

“That demands absolute seriousness and diligence and only the best legs will do.”
