Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel inspired his club Tianjin Teda FC to a 4-1 win against Tianjin Quanjian in the Chinese Super League (CSL) derby clash decided at the Tianjin Olympic Centre Stadium on Saturday.
Ghanaian attacker, Frank Opoku Acheampong opened scoring with a quick brace in the 25th and 26th minutes respectively, Chinese midfielder Li Yuanyi made it 3-0 for Tianjin Teda in the 76th minute.
Brazilian star, Alexandre Pato reduced the tally in the 85th minute, while Wang Jie scored an own goal into his own net in the added minutes as the game ended 4-1 at full time.
Mikel was in action for the entire duration in the midfield for the Tianjin Tigers. With the win, Tianjin Teda moved from bottom to 14th position on the log with 19 points from 25 matches played so far in the current season.
