Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has revealed why it would be difficult for him to join Spanish giants Barcelona while his national team captain Lionel Messi still calls the shots at Camp Nou.
Dybala was full of praise for Messi but said it would be difficult for him to be in the same team as they play in similar positions, ahead of the Champions League clash against Barcelona on Tuesday.
Dybala: Why I can’t join Barca while Messi is there
The Argentine who was linked with a summer move to Barcelona in the just concluded transfer window in an interview ahead of their clash in Spain said: “I have played with him in the national team and it is a great pleasure to do so. I have learned a lot of things having him as a team-mate
“In the future I do not know. I am very good at Juventus and I am the number ten “I do not know what will happen in the future. I do not know if there is any interest, nobody told me anything, the club did not come to me, they just told me that they want me to be part of the project. Until Juventus and the president stop wanting me, I will be here.” said Messi on Marca
Dybala also knows it will be a difficult game but still feels that his side will have their chances at Camp Nou.
“We are aware that they will give us opportunities and we have to take advantage of them. I think Barcelona lost a very important player like Neymar, but he has also been replaced by another footballer of great quality. Barcelona is always Barcelona.
“I think they are defending better, as they have not conceded any goals in their stadium yet. We must defend and not let the players free because they can do us much harm. I think tomorrow’s result can be very important for us, if it is in our favour. This game has nothing to do with last year’s match.” the Argentine added
