Three Points or Nothing Against Cameroon – Simon

By Augustine Akhilomen

Super Eagles winger, Simon Moses says the most paramount thing in the minds of the players is to overcome the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the 2018 World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

The team will face the current Africa Nations Cup champions on Friday in what is expected to be  thug of war between the two football rivals.

Nigeria top group B with six points while Cameroon sit second with two points from two matches.

However, Simon told Caf.online.com in an interview on Wednesday that the players are gunning for the three points.

“We were not at the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon when Cameroon won the trophy but we have respect for them as the African champions. We have to give everything that we have when we are going to play against them. We have to play together as a team. I believe we have a very good squad with the calibre of players we have in the team right now.

“Of course! If I have the opportunity but the most important thing is about the team getting the maximum three points. It is not only about me scoring; it is for us to win on Friday in Uyo because that would be good for our aspiration of qualifying for the World Cup.
