Barcelona target PSG star

Barcelona want Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler this summer after the French-based club has secretly the given the German his marching orders from the club, according to The Times.

Draxler was signed from Wolfsburg 2016 in a controversial manner, with PSG obliging the German international in January 2017.

However, Draxler seems to be surplus to requirementat the PSG with the arrival of Neymar for a world record fee, the likes of Di Maria, Goncalo Guedes and Lucas Moura are also present at Unai Emery’s disposal.

Barcelona could both come in with an offer for the German international, who is available for £32 million.Arsenal is a long-time admirer of the German and hasbeen linked with him in almost every other transfer window.

Wenger could sign Draxler as a replacement for exit bound Alexis Sanchez.

Barcelona is also monitoring Ousmane Dembele as an alternative to Draxler as they look to replace Neymar.

With PSG needing to offload players in that position, Draxler could also be available for just £32 million – cheap by the currently inflated condition of the transfer market – an enticing proposition for Arsenal, who have been reportedly looking towards targets like Thomas Lemar and Riyad Mahrez this summer.
