Barcelona target Coutinho ‘told he can leave Anfield’

Barcelona’s continued pressure for the signing of Coutinho has reportedly forced Liverpool into informing the midfielder he will be allowed to move to the Catalan side before the transfer window closes according to Yahoo.

The Merseyside club’s owners have told the Brazilian that they will accept his request to leave and Yahoo also claim that Barcelona will pay €160 million that will make him their most expensive player, beating the figure splashed out on Dembele.

In the last few hours, Marca say Liverpool have shown more flexibility and willingness to negotiate than earlier in the summer when they have steadfastly refused to discuss the future of Coutinho.

Meanwhile, reports n England have it that Liverpoolhaveagreed to sell Coutinho to Barcelona for £148.5million (160m euros). But an announcement has been delayed until Liverpool have brought in a replacement for the Brazil star according to the Express.

That is according to Yahoo Sport and if true, would mark the end of a lengthy chase by the Spanish side to sign Coutinho. And the deal would make him the second most expensive transfer of all time following Neymar’s move to Paris Saint Germain.
