Since appointed as the technical adviser of the team in 2016 by the Nigeria Football Federation, the German tactician has revived the winning mentality of the team.
Nigeria tops group B with six points of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers after defeating Zambia 2-1 and Algeria 3-1; as the team remain unbeaten under Rohr.
The Atlanta Olympic gold medalist in the football event told Soccernet.com.ng that Rohr has improved Nigeria’s FIFA rankings.
“There is no doubt that Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has impacted positively on the team since taking over in 2016,” Dosu told Soccernet.com.ng
“Before now the team was lying fallow in 77th position in the FIFA rankings but since his arrival and the matches he has won and drawn, the team has moved up to an appreciable level where we can be proud of.
“This really shows the coaching magic that a coach like Rohr can have in a team and I am happy that the Super Eagles are now flying pretty high,” he said.
