Mourinho shuts down Barcelona link for Herrera

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has shut down talk of Ander Herrera leaving this summer.

Marca says Herrera had been requested by new Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde, who had worked extensively with the player at Athletic Club.

However, the operation will not take place because of the Portuguese’s insistence that his player is “not for sale at any price.”

Attentions will now more than likely turn to Marco Verratti, but his departure from Paris Saint-Germain is also very complicated because the French club considers him vital for their future project.
