Barcelona won’t renew Andres Iniesta deal

Andres Iniesta won’t be renewing his contract with Barcelona, it has been revealed.

The Barca captain’s current deal runs to 2018 and Don Balon says the club has informed the midfielder they cannot consider matching his current terms.

Rather than insult Iniesta, it’s been agreed to leave things as they are.

The veteran could now run down his contract and leave on a Bosman next summer, or negotiate an immediate free transfer.

The midfielder has fielded tentative interest from Juventus in recent days.
