£120m price-tag is too much for Mbappe – Abidal

Barcelona ambassador, Eric Abidal maybe speaking the minds of a lot of people as he reckons that the £120m price-tag for AS Monaco star, Kylian Mbappe is way too much than his actually valuation.

The 18-year-old forward is currently the sort after in the world at the moment with Real Madrid in the pole position to sign him this summer after a stunning season where he helped Monaco to beat Paris Saint German to the Ligue 1 title and got to the UEFA Champions League semifinal where they lost to Juventus.

“Mbappe is a good player, but his price is not £120m,”Abidal told Cadena Ser.

“I still think he wants to stay in Monaco and confirm his level there.

“He has to make a decision also thinking about his game minutes, because this is the year of the World Cup.”

Abidal added: “When you start to pay £100m as was done by Pogba, then for a player with more talent you have to reach £200m and that does not represent the value of the players.

“Here at Barca, what price would be paid for [Lionel] Messi or Neymar?”

Mbappe scored 26 goals for AS Monaco in all competitions in the just concluded season.
