Matches of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) are set to return to the television screens, top officials of the League Management Company (LMC) has disclosed.
Nigeria’s top flight matches have been off the screens since Week 14 of the NPFL following issues of foreign exchange availability for the broadcast right holders
and the crash of the Naira against the dollars.
“We have been able to resolve the issues,” a top LMC official said.
“As you may have noticed we have been quiet on the matters, this is because we have been meeting in the background but
now I can say we have arrived at a decision and the league would be back on the screens in the shortest possible time.”
He added, “I cannot state categorically right now when the live broadcast of matches would begin, it could be this weekend, it could begin from Week 22 and this is because the right holders are working on the schedule.
