Former Golden Eaglets captain, Kelechi Nwakali entered the referee’s booking as his club MVV Maastricht played out a 1-1 draw with Sunday Oliseh’s Fortuna Sittard, which finished the game with 10-men in the Eerste Divisie (Dutch Jupiler League) clash at Stadion De Geusselt on Sunday.
Congolese-Dutch striker Patrick Nkoyi opened scoring for Maastricht in the 23rd minute, before Emrah Bassan equalized for Fortuna in the 61st minute, to end the game 1-1 at full time.
As the game progresses, 18-year-old Nwakali who is currently on loan from from top Premier League club, Arsenal bagged yellow card in the 74th minute after a malicious kick.
Oliseh introduced another Nigerian forward, Junior Torunarigha as late substitute, replacing Dutch winger, Finn Stokkers in the 81st minute. Fortuna was however reduced to 10-men after Jordy Briels was sent off for his second yellow card in the 83rd minute.
