A close member of the Nigeria Football Federation has exclusively told Soccernet.com.ng that the Glass House has giving Super Eagles technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr total backing in his quest to qualifying the team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Despite reports that the NFF have giving the German tactician a mandate of qualifying the team for the World Cup or face the exit door, the federation vehemently revealed that they are still putting their faith on him to make the senior national team great again.
Besides, they also quenched reports that some power members of the federation have been poke-nosing into the decision making of the the former Gabon manager as regard players invitation.
“There is no truth in that story because the Nigeria Football Federation have never interfere in the decision making of Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr in terms of players invitation to the senior national team,” the source told Soccernet.com.ng.
“Besides, he has every right to decide the kind of players he wants for the March international friendly against Burkina Faso and Senegal. So far, you can attest to it that no one amongst the NFF board have infringe into the right of the German tactician,” the source told Soccernet.com.ng.
“We are 100% behind Rohr and we are doing everything possible to ensure the team qualifies for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. That is our target for the team.” he said.
