Obasi set for China move

The Chinese League is set to welcome another Nigerian star going by latest transfer reports coming from Sweden.

The Nigerian player set to cash in on a move to China is Chinedu Obasi who incidentally is a close pal of Super Eagles Captain, John Obi Mikel who himself made a move to the Far East earlier in the month.

Swede football site, expressen.se reports that Obasiis indeed closing in on a deal with an unnamed Chinese club.

After grappling with series of injuries in recent past, Obasi had some reprieve last term in thecoloursof AIK where he even won the Goal of the Season Award.

If things work out, the 30-year old Nigerian forward who scored 6 goals in 10 league appearances for AIK last season will have some Nigerian company in China where the likes of Obafemi Martins, Anthony Ujah and the likes are plying their trade.

It is understood that AIK would have love to give Obasi a new deal but the Beijing Olympic silver medalist has his eyes in China already.
