Chelsea could lose goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois as Real Madrid are negotiating a deal to sign take him away from Stamford Bridge, according to reports in Spain.
The Belgian goalkeeper was touted for a move away from Chelsea in the summer, but stayed on and has now helped the Blues to the top of the Premier League table.
But he could still be tempted with a move away from Chelsea, as he has reportedly never hidden his desire of a potential return to the city where he enjoyed so much joy with Atletico from 2011 to 2014.
Madrid-based radio station, Radio Onda Cero, claim negotiations for Real to sign Courtois for next season are ongoing.
Courtois won a La Liga title, the Europa League, Uefa Super Cup and a Copa del Rey during a successful four-year spell in Spain — while on loan from Chelsea, and the chance of a return to Madrid — albeit with the ‘enemy’ — could be too hard to turn down.
He returned to Stamford Bridge in 2014, forcing out the more experienced Petr Cech, although he had a less than stellar outing last term as Chelsea struggled.
