Iwobi Targets Man United Fall At Old Trafford

By Augustine Akhilomen

After enjoying a decent performance in the Super Eagles 3-1 win over the Desert Foxes of Algeria last weekend, Alex Iwobi will be aiming for a starting shirt as Arsenal confront Manchester United at Old Trafford in Saturday’s early Premier League kickoff.

The youngster’s rise in the colours of the Gunners this season has seen him contribute immensely in terms of assists and goal scoring for the team, ousting the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from the team.

Iwobi could be on thick of action at the Theatre of Dream if teammate, Alexis Sanchez fails to make coach Arsene Wenger’s starting line up due to a slight knock he received while representing Chile in the South America World Cup qualifier.

The Nigerian international who is blessed with pace, sublime skills and ability to distribute passes cross-field, could be Wenger’s danger man against the Red Devils, that may be without six key players.

Near perfect so far, much like Iwobi’s campaign, Arsenal are once again in with a real shot of securing the Premier League title. Perhaps Iwobi’s presence could propel them that one step needed to lift the trophy.
