Sunderland manager, David Moyes has stated that Nigerian striker
Victor Anichebe is underrated having worked with him at Everton before
their reunion at the Stadium of Light.
Speaking on Anichebe, the former Real Sociedad and Manchester United
manager said: “Vic was out there and there weren’t many takers for him
in the summer but I’ve always had belief in Victor. He’s got more than
he shows sometimes and people don’t recognise that he’s a very good
player.”
“He has great strength and ability, I just hope he keeps showing it.”
he added. Anichebe joined Sunderland in the summer as a free agent and
was instrumental to their first league win of the season (2-1 vs.
Bournemouth) at the 11th attempt.
