Super Eagles To Depart For Zambia On Saturday Morning‎

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will depart Abuja on Saturday morning via a
chartered flight for their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia in
Ndola on October 9, according to team officials instead of the earlier
arrangement to depart on Friday.

This was made known by the team’s media officer Toyin Ibitoye, who
said: ”We will now leave for Zambia on early Saturday morning. It is a
direct flight and it will be five hours by air. The coaches have thought
it out, they want us to train as many times as possible in Abuja and
also rest well before match day.

“It won’t be counter-productive, we will get there in good time, rest
well and have a feel of the pitch before we play.” The team will begin
training on Tuesday by 10am and 4.15pm under the watchful eyes of German
coach Gernot Rohr inside the Abuja National Stadium.
