Rabiu Ibrahim Signs 3-Year Deal With Belgian Club Gent

Estranged Super Eagles midfielder, Rabiu Ibrahim has completed his
three-year contract with Belgium Pro League side KAA Gent from Slovakian
club, AS Trencin, SR Sports can report.

The 25-year-old Nigerian central midfielder joined another Nigerian
striker Moses Simon at the club (who also came from the Slovakian side
AS Trencin). Rabiu joined Portuguese club, Sporting Clube de Portugal at
the age of 16, and has played in several European leagues such as,
Sporting Lisbon, Glasgow Celtic, PSV and AS Trencin, before moving to
Belgium.

At Trencin, he played a total of 61 matches in which he scored 11
goals and 9 assists. The former FIFA U-17 World Cup winner won the
double last season (Slovak champion and cup winner), he also played for
Super Eagles under the late Stephen Keshi.

Meanwhile, the talented midfielder has four caps, and also played for
all Nigerian national teams including U-17, U-20 and U-23 respectively.
