Iheanacho says he’s fine after picking up an injury in his last match

Great relief came for fans of Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho after the youngster posted on instagram that he is fine following what looked like a serious injury during the UEFA Champions League playoff second leg game against Steaua Bucharest.

The 19-year-old went to ground inside the box of the opponents which caused a little panic as Steaua’s defender Bogdan Mitrea looked very concerned while holding Iheanacho’s head as he signalled for quick medical aid.

Fernandinho came on for the Nigerian as the Citizen’s went on to win the game 1-0 courtesy a Fabian Delph’s goal to seal a 6-0 aggregate win and take City into the group stage of the competition.

But the best news from that win came in the early hours of this morning as Iheanacho posted on his personal instagram account: ‘Great result for the team today. Very pleased we’ve qualified for the #ECL group stages. Thank you everyone for your messages. I’m pleased to inform you all that am okay #mcfc.’
