Europe Wrap: Moses, Troost Ekong score as Aluko, Ikeme, Iorfa feature

Victor Moses added Chelsea’s third goal after coming on as a substitute against Burnley.
Another weekend of football action across Europe saw
various club sides engaging each other in titanic clash as the season gets old
by the week.
In some of these
club matches Nigerian player were are the peak of them as magnificent
performance were recorded by Nigerian in Europe this weekend. We highlights some
Nigerian players who were involve for their club side in Europe.
On this note we take a look at these Nigeria players
abroad who were in action in Europe as regards to their performance.
IN ENGLAND
Nigeria and Chelsea forward Victor Moses came on to
replace Brazilian play maker William in the 77th minute and scored
in the 89th minute to make it 3-0 against Burnley while team mate
and Anglo- Nigerian defender Oluwaola Aina was on the bench for the entire
duration of the game for Chelsea.
Jordon Ibe started and lasted 59th in minute for
new club AFC Bournemouth as they drew 1-1 with host crystal palace. Ibe was replaced
by Dan Gosling (former Everton player).
Leicester City’s new signing Ahmed Musa came on to
replace Marc Albrighton in the 75th minute of the game as his
Leicester City side held for in to secure a 2-1 win (their first of the season)
over visiting side Swansea City.
Impressive Odion Ighalo failed to find the back of the
net against Arsenal but lasted the entire duration of the game with his
occasional dribbles in the game while Isaac success made the much awaited EPC debut
vs. Arsenal and threaten the Arsenal guards in transition as he came on in the
77nd minute to replace Morocco’s Nordin Amrabat. Odion Ighalo was booked in the
45 minute of the game as Arsenal claimed a vital 3-1 away win at Watford.
IN ENGLAND (CHAMPIONSHIP)
Dream Team IV invitee Viv Solomon-Otabor was rooted to
the bench for the entire match as his side Birmingham City dispatched visiting
side Norwich City 3-0.
Blackburn Rovers midfielder Hope Akpan lasted the
distance for Rovers and was looked (Yellow Card) in the 76th minute
while Sone Aluko lasted the distance as well for Fulham behind the striker as
Tom Cairney last gasp winner in the 90th minute enabled Fulham to a
0-1 away win over host Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
Anglo-Nigerian
talented left Back Jordan Obita (22) came on for Tyler Blackett (from
Manchester United) in the 82nd minute to inspire a 0-1 away win over
Cardiff City by assisting the only goal in the 89 minute of the game.
Carl Ikeme and Dominic Iorfa (20) lasted the entire duration
of the game for Wolverampton Wanderers as they lost 1-0 to Huddersfield Town.
Nedum Onuoha lasted the distance for Queens Park Rangers
while teammate Olamide Akinfenwa Shodipo was rooted to the bench for the entire
game as Queen Park Rangers defeated host Wigan Athletic 0-1 with Onuoha scoring
the winner just 3 minutes after the intermission.
SPAIN (DIVISION)
Ramon Azeez lasted the entire duration of the game as Almeria
UD lost 2-0 to Real Oviedo. Macaulay Christantus lasted 10 minute of the game
due to injury and was replaced by Edgar as his side FC Reus drew 1-1 with
Mirandes FC.
IN GERMANY
Leon Balogun was missing in action while Karin Onisiwo was
on from start to finish but was booked in the 89th minute as a brace
from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang condemned Mainz 05 to a 2-1 defeat by Dortmund.
IN FRANCE
Vincent Enyeama as usual lasted the entire duration in
goal as Lille Losc drew 1-1 with host Nice FC.
IN HOLLAND
Bartholomew Ogbeche was on the bench for Williem II for
the entire match while Abdul Ajagun lasted the distance for Roda JC Kerkrade
and was booked in the 90th minute of the game as both side drew
goalless (0-0).
Kenny Otigba
(center back) expectedly still missing in action for SC Heerenveen as he joined
Kasimpasa in the transfer window (all before while Kingsley Ehizibue lasted 61
minutes and was replace by Max de Boom. He was booked in the 40th
minute of the game as SC Heerenveen defeated PEC Zwolle 1-0.
FC Twente forward Chinedu Ede lasted the entire duration
of the game as his FC Twente side defeated visiting side Sparta Rotterdam 3-1.
IN BELGIUM
Joseph Akpala was missing for Oostende FC as they
defeated visiting side Waasland-Beveren 2-1.
IN PORTUGAL
Defensive midfield talent Anderson Esiti was on from
start to finish as his Estoril side lost 1-3 to visiting sporting Braga side. Esiti was
booked in the 55th minute of the match.
IN SCOTLAND
Efe Ambrose was missing in action as Scottish giant
Celtic defeated Aberdeen 4-1 Partick Thistle’s Adebayo Azeez lasted 69 minute
and was replaced by compatriot David Amoo as they lost 1-2 to visiting side
Hearts FC.
Troost-Ekong(No.5) shirt scoring to bring FK Haugesung back into the game against Brann.

IN NORWAY
William Troost Ekong drew his FK Haugesund side level
with a goal in the 45th minute and as they claimed a 3-2 win over
visiting Brann side. Ekong lasted the entire duration of the match.
IN TURKEY

New Kasimpasa signing Kenny Otigba lasted the distance as
they drew 1-1 with Adanaspor. Ogenyi Onazi lasted 55 minute for new club.
Trabzonspor and was replaced by Matus Bero as they lost 1-0 to host
Gaziantepspor.
IN RUSSIA
Nigerian duo of midfielder Fegor Ogude and Anglo-Nigerian
defender Brian Idowu lasted the distance while teammate and striker Chuma Anene
lasted 73rd minute of the game and was replaced by Anton Shynder as
their side Amkar Perm lost 3-0 to host Zenit St. Petersburg.
