21 players in Barcelona squad to face Leicester

FC Barcelona continue their preseason as they prepare for the 2016/2017 season. After beating Scottish Champions Celtic 3-1 in their first friendly game of the season, the Catalans now face English Champions Leicester City in a highly-anticipated International Champions Cup friendly game in Stockholm.
FC Barcelona have officially announce their squad for the game against Leicester City with the list comprising of 21 players of which 12 are first team stars and the other 9 joining them from the B team and Juvenil A.
The list features the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Arda Turan, Aleix Vidal, Jeremy Mathieu, Denis Suarez, Jordi Masip, Munir, Sergi Roberto and Sergi Samper, first team players who were available in the game against Celtic and they are joined by Sergio Busquets and Javier Mascherano who arrived on a later date.
Ter Stegen, Claudio Bravo, Gerard Pique, Thomas Vermaelen, Douglas Pereira, Jordi Alba, Ivan Rakitic and Andres Iniesta returned to training but will not travel with the team as they will go through routine physical and medical tests to ensure fitness, hence they won’t take part in the game.
Junior team players called up for the game are: Carles Alena, Nilli, Alfaro, Mujica, Jose Antonio Martinez, Carbonell and Juan Camara who was voted MVP in the game against Celtic.
Barça also confirm that forward player Cristian Tello isn’t part of the squad for technical reasons which is possibly due to the fact that he’s on his way out of the club.

DEFENDERS: Aleix Vidal, Francisco Nilli, Jeremy Mathieu, Javier Mascherano, Marlon, Jose Antonio Martinez, Camara;
MIDFIELDERS: Sergi Samper, Sergi Roberto, Sergio Busquets, Denis Suarez, Carles Alena, Arda Turan, Carbonell;
FORWARDS: Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Munir El Haddadi, Jesus Alfaro, Rafa Muijica.
The game kicks off at the Friend’s stadium at 8PM CET on Wednesday, August 3, 2016.
