Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo said he is honoured to be unveiled as the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) ambassador.
The former Everton star, was unveiled by the League Management Company (LMC) in the presence of FIFA president, Gianni Infantino who is on a two-working days visit to Nigeria in Abuja on Monday. Reacting on the development, Yobo who couldn’t hide his feelings expressed his feelings on his official twitter handle, shortly after the unveiling.
Capped 101 times Yobo represented the Super Eagles at three FIFA World Cups and six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments (leading the team to win the 2013 edition of the tournament in South Africa), before announcing his retirement after the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
